PREP (Catechism) - Parish Religious Education for Children 

The goal of PREP (Catechism) is to assist parents in the religious education of children not attending Catholic schools and to prepare the children to receive the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Eucharist (Level 2) and Confirmation (Level 7). We also offer a Connections class for older students who have missed sacraments.

 At St. Nicholas, our program runs from September to May each year. 

 Students in Grades 1 to 7 attend a weekly session on either Wednesdays (5:00PM - 6:15PM) or Thursdays (6:15PM - 7:30PM).

PREP Registration

 Please note that students must have completed 2 years of religious education prior to receiving the Sacraments. For example, students can only be accepted in the First Communion class if they have completed Level 1 PREP or equivalent, and the Confirmation class if they have completed Level 6 PREP or equivalent.
